Maccabi Netanya FC was on a trial today following two matches in which racist statements were heard against the players of Sektsia Nes-Tziona and Hapoel Kefar-Saba. Maccabi Netanya’s attorney, Adv. Tal Segev, noted, “The facts of the two cases are similar, as are the claims, and therefore both cases should be dealt with as one. We demand a hearing behind closed doors, as the fact of this prosecution has already harmed the club. The club is at the forefront of fighting racism, from top to bottom.”
